Apostle Angela Walker exemplifies an individual truly on fire for the Lord. Her lively and vibrant personality reflects her strong passion to serve the people of God. She was licensed to preach the Gospel on February 5, 2005 by Dr. Walter P. Turner III Pastor of New Spiritual Light M B Church. In July of 2007 she was ordained as Co-Pastor of God’s House of Divine Revelation Church by Bishop Vesta L. Dixon Pastor of Evening Star M.B. Church. After nearly three years of service as Co-Pastor, Apostle Walker was elevated in ministry and ordained as pastor in June of 2010 by her Husband Overseer Keith Walker.

 

Apostle Walker is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the AW Divine Learning Center which aims to promote community development. She also oversees the operation of the “Feeding the Total Man” Food Pantry, which distributes fresh produce and nonperishable items on a weekly basis to members of Chicago’s Auburn-Gresham community.

 

Apostle Walker has been afforded the opportunity to serve as a guest writer for several magazines including: UCCC Times (New York), and Elation Magazine (Missouri). She also served as the host of the “Knowledge and Power Show” with “Pastor Ang”, a weekly inspirational internet radio show, as well as the "Spring Forth Show with Pastor Ang”, a weekly inspirational television show. Blessed with a musical inclination, Apostle Walker formed the group Angela Walker & Divine Revelation. In November of 2014, the group released their debut album. One of the singles, “I’ll Say Yes”, has been blessed to reach the Top 100 on the gospel charts, and the music video ranked in the top 50 in 2015. Apostle Walker is a published author, and has traveled across the U.S. motivating and empowering the masses.

 

In 2012, Apostle Walker became a member of New Beginning, a global collaborative of Pastors, and within this collaborative she served as a community leader for the worldwide evangelistic outreach where she oversaw the Midwestern Region (IL, IN, WI,MN and OH). In December 2014, with the recommendation of Bishop Roosevelt Watkins, Apostle Walker was elevated and consecrated by Presiding Prelate Bishop Eric Garnes to serve as the Illinois State Overseer for the United Covenant Churches of Christ (UCCC). She was later appointed as Vice Chairman of Community Clergy for Change in 2016. Apostle Walker started her process and preparation for Apostle in 2015 under her Apostolic Leader, Presiding Prelate and Primus Apostle Dr. Shawnette A. Houghton of the Apostolic Ecumenical Network; and in August 2018 was consecrated to the office of Apostle.  Apostle Walker founded and organized the Greater Works International Fellowship in November 2017, and on November 3rd, 2018 she was consecrated and commissioned to Presiding Prelate and Primus of Greater Works International Fellowship.

 

Apostle Walker has a passion to preach and teach the gospel of Christ and continually strives to make a positive impact on the lives of others. She is blessed with 4 men in her life; her husband of over 20 years, Bishop Elect Keith Walker, and sons DeAngelo, Eugene and Denzel.
